PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planter where the charm of gardening enabling any flower to be planted and raised at will can readily be experienced by adopting a genuine planter filled with compost as a floating body while adopting a structure employing capillarity for making watering needless, and smooth and stable floating in the vertical direction is made possible by improving guides for guiding the floating of the floating body with the variation of a contained quantity of water. SOLUTION: This planter is assembled as follows: (1) a box-type small planter 2 capable of floating in the vertical direction with the variation of a contained quantity of water is housed in a box-type big planter 1 for containing water in its inside; (2) depression parts 9 for containing compost are formed in the upper surface side of the small planter 2; (3) water absorption cloth 6 is laid in the bottom of each depression part 9 and is inserted into each permeable pore 8, and the edge of each cloth 6 is immersed in water below the pore; and (4) guide holes 11 penetrating the small planter 2 in the vertical direction are formed in the small planter and a pole 12 is installed perpendicularly from the bottom of the large planter 1 in a slidable and loosely inserted state in each guide hole 11. |
