The extruder comprises at least one conical stator (1, 2) and at least one rotatable conical rotor (3). The rotor (3) is mounted from its widest point with bearings (12a, 12b) in such a way that the first bearing (12a) receives the forces acting in one axial direction of the rotor (3) and the second bearing (12b) receives the forces acting in the opposite axial direction of the rotor (3). The invention provides a very firm bearing arrangement, whereupon it is also possible to produce an extruded product that contains at least 0.5 % of a slip agent and substantially no weld lines. An extrusion method is also claimed.
