An aqueous disinfecting and cleaning composition in a concentrated form, which exhibits reduced irritancy, is claimed comprising: a) a disinfecting effective amount of a quaternary ammonium compound having germicidal properties; b) 0.01-10 %wt of a non-ionic surfactant compound based on a polymeric alkylene oxide copolymer; c) a migrating effective amount of at least one surfactant based on an alkoxylated fatty amine compound; d) 0.1-10 %wt of a further non-ionic surfactant; e) 0-3 %wt of a polymeric cationic surfactant based on a polyquaternary ammonium salt; f) optionally minor amounts of up to 5 %wt of one or more additives as defined in the specification and g) water to form up to 100 %wt of the aqueous disinfecting and cleaning composition.
