FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: mowing and conveying mechanism has at least one cutting drum and conveying drums, which are positioned above cutting drums. Conveying drums are positioned in axially aligned relation and rotating with different circumferential speeds. These drums are equipped with discharge devices positioned within circle circumscribed by conveying drums. Cutting drums have catching strips positioned on its upper side and made in the form of rims spaced one from the other and extending at right angles to tangent. Catching strips are adapted for guiding cut stalked cereal plants in radial inward direction and directing them into widened part of conveying drums. EFFECT: increased efficiency, enhanced reliability in conveying cut stalks and simplified construction. 13 cl, 2 dwg
