PURPOSE: A flat screen grid coated with non-volatile getter material and forming method thereof are provided to forming a getter material covering layer orderly spread on whole screen. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: providing a metal sheet having thickness as last grid and a surface area at least image forming area size, coating at least one side of the metal sheet with one or more non-volatile getter material, and selectively removing partial the metal sheet coated with the getter material. The metal sheet is consisted of nickel, nickel-chrome, or nickel-iron.
