PURPOSE: A developing apparatus is provided, which can a picture forming apparatus such as an electronic-photographic copy apparatus or an electronic-photographic printer. CONSTITUTION: The developing apparatus comprises: a developing chamber (41) having a developer; a developer filling body to be installed at an aperture portion of the developing chamber (41) for filling and transmitting the developer; a leakage preventing member (46) to be contacted with the developer filling body at a terminal portion of the developer filling body and for preventing a leakage of the developer from the terminal portion; and a sealing member (47) to be installed at the terminal portion for contacting and sealing with the developer filling body in a long direction of the developer filling body. Thereby, it is possible to prevent a pollution by a toner in the picture forming apparatus.
