PURPOSE: A character printing method and its device are provided to read a character group recorded inside a disc to be able to record and replay, and to print by extracting the character group fitted in various printing sizes. CONSTITUTION: A device case(2) is stored:a printing unit(12); a cutting unit(13); a detecting unit(14); a circuit substrate. The circuit substrate is loaded of each circuit consisting of:a power unit(290); a driving unit(270); a control unit(200). A power unit(EU) of the power unit(290) is contacted with an AC adopter contacting hole(24), or with a battery(E) such as a nickel cadmium battery to be able to remove from the outside, and supplies power to each unit inside a tape printing device.
