PURPOSE: A disk drive apparatus is provided, which is suitable for recording and reproducing a disk type recording medium such as a floppy disk. CONSTITUTION: The disk drive apparatus comprises: a head rising and falling arm (331) to be vertically arranged to a length direction of a suspension (182); a slide plate to be attached to one side portion of the head rising and falling arm (331) through a pivot axis (336) for a free rotation; and a guide axis (335) to be horizontally arranged to the length direction of the suspension (182) and be coupled to cam holes (339, 340) to be formed at other side portion of the head rising and falling arm (331), wherein the head rising and falling arm (331) for sliding cam holes (339, 340) to the guide axis (335) by a slide operation of the slide plate. Thereby, it is possible to improve the productivity and embody the low cost.
