PURPOSE: A picture processing apparatus is provided to bury the information to a picture without increasing the data amount. CONSTITUTION: The picture processing apparatus for performing a processing for burying the information to a picture comprises a select portion for selecting a pixel of the picture; and a processing portion for conducting a processing to the selected pixel by the select portion according to the information, and burying the information to the picture by making the pixel being regenerated by use of a correlation of the picture. The processing portion conducts a process with regard to either one of a brightness component and a color component.
