MOBILE TERMINAL LOCATION DISCRIMINATING METHOD, PROCESSOR AND COMPUTER PROGRAM

PURPOSE: A method is provided to determine a location of a moving caller in a cellular service area under various RF propagation conditions by use of a location determination on the basis of a pattern recognition. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: receiving a set of characteristics from a mobile terminal; comparing the set of characteristics derived from the mobile terminal with a set of characteristics for each cell; and judging one of sub cells having an attribution closely identical to the characteristic from the mobile terminal, as a sub cell where the mobile terminal is disposed, wherein the attribution comprises a disperse RF attribution such as an average pilot strength, a chip offset or a pilot strength.
