PURPOSE: Method for a pollution abating engine and installation on city bus is provided to eliminate a exhaust matter, and eliminate particially or most of all pollution matter from atmosphere in city. CONSTITUTION: Method for a pollution abating engine comprises independent suction and compression chamber (1), independent expansion chamber with constant volume (2), and independent expansion and exhaust chamber (4) in which fuel supply systems are dispensed with, and operating in monomode with injection of a small amount of additional compressed air at ambient temperature in expansion chamber (2) which contains air drawn in and compressed at high temperature by the piston (9) of compression chamber (1), cleaned and purified through a charcoal filter (24) or by another purifying method. Additional compressed air is heated in contact with high temperature air mass in expansion chamber, increases in volume and pressure and produces work when expanded as hot air and is ejected still cleaned and purified into a atmosphere via the exhaust (19). The additional compressed air is stored at room temperature in a reservoir under very high pressure (23). It concerns the installation of such an engine on city buses and other service vehicles in towns.
