PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display is provided to improve the view angle characteristics of display. CONSTITUTION: In the liquid crystal display, the molecules of liquid crystal is rubbed by a simple process and the gap of panel is stably reserved. Thin film transistor is provided at the each cross point of signal line and scanning line. The pixel electrode is connected with the transistor. The pixel electrode formed on first substrate having curved surface on the pixel and the color layer and opposing electrodes are formed on the second substrate. The rod like spacer is placed between the substrates and determine the gap size. Liquid crystal is sandwiched between the substrates and arrayed multi regionally by the curved surface of first substrate and rod spacer.
