PURPOSE: A disk cartridge is provided, which accepts a disk type recording medium in a cartridge housing. CONSTITUTION: The disk cartridge comprises: a pair of first half (15) and second half (16); an inner case (17) to be accepted to an inner portion of first half (15) and second half (16); an irregular portion (15a) to be formed to an inner portion of the first half (15); an accepting chamber (18) for accepting an optical disk (17) in the first half (15) and the case (17); a irregular portion (15b) which a hub portion of the optical disk (13) is opposed; and a irregular portion (15c) which a lock spring is accepted; irregular portions (15c, 15d) to be formed at both sides, wherein the irregular portion (15a) of the first half (15) is set at a lower side of a length direction. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the loss of the information recording.
