INK AND COATING COMPOSITION CONTAINING SILICON-TREATED CARBON BLACK

PURPOSE: An ink and coating composition contains carbon black treated with silicon. The silicon-treated carbon black improves spreading, blue coloration and abrasion resistance of the ink and coating composition and reduces the residual of preliminary mixtures. CONSTITUTION: The ink composition comprises a silicon-treated carbon black partly containing at least one organic group. The composition contains less than 60 wt.% of silicon-treated carbon black content and the silicon is dispersed in the surface of an agglomerate of the silicon-treated carbon black.
