REFOLDING METHOD OF INCLUSION BODY OF SOMATOTROPIN INTO ACTIVE FORM

PURPOSE: Overexpressed somatotropin from genetically modified E.coli cell appears as non-active inclusion body. CONSTITUTION: The invention is disclosed the method of refolding and reoxidation of inclusion body of somatotropin overexpressed in E.coli consisted of a) solubilization of 1-10 g/l of inclusion body in 10-50 % of n-propyl alcohol solution at strong alkaline pH, b) dilution of solubilized somatotropin solution with H2O, and c) treatment with 0.0001 %-0.5 % of mild oxidants such as air, 2-mercaptoethanol, cystamine, glutathione and cysteine. The refolded and reoxidized active form of somatotropin from animal activate the growth of respect animals.
