SIGNAL DETECTION SYSTEM AND METHODE THEREOF

PURPOSE: A signal detection system and a method thereof is provided to satisfy the standard of Minimum Mean-Squared Error(MMSE) by combing array processing, a rake detection, and a multiuser detection. CONSTITUTION: The method for detecting modulated data signals by a multitude of direct sequential diffusion spectrum signals comprises the steps of: generating outputs of matched filters(10) for a multitude of signal elements(12) and a multitude of antennas; obtaining a prediction value of a coherent channel; combining the matched filters(10) output by using the prediction value of the coherent channel; and controlling a multiple access interference and predicting individual data symbols for subsets of diffusion spectrum signals. The signal detection system comprises: a generating device for generating outputs of matched filters(10) for a multitude of signal elements(12) and a multitude of antennas; a developing device for obtaining a prediction value of a coherent channel; a combining device for combining the matched filters(10) output by using the prediction value of the coherent channel; and a predicting device for controlling a multiple access interference and predicting individual data symbols for subsets of diffusion spectrum signals.
