PURPOSE: The insecticidal composition is provided to kill insects within a short time after using the composition to insects due to quick activation. CONSTITUTION: The insecticidal composition contains 2-methyl-4-oxo-3-(2-propinyl) cyclopent-2-enyl 3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethyl cyclopropane carboxylate and specific glycol derivative. The weight ratio between the 2-methyl-4-oxo-3-(2-propinyl) cyclopent-2-enyl 3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethyl cyclopropane carboxylate and the specific glycol derivative has to be 1:3 -1:100. The appropriate glycol derivative for being used in an insecticidal composition contains propylene glycol mono alkyl ether or dipropylene glycol mono alkyl ether. The composition is produced under room temperature or heating condition by mixing 2-methyl-4-oxo-3-(2-propinyl) cyclopent-2-enyl 3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethyl cyclopropane carboxylate and specific glycol derivative.
