PURPOSE: Disclosed are formulation and method for treating congestive heart failure which can treats the congestive heart failure. CONSTITUTION: The method for treating congestive heart failure comprises administering an effective amount of 4-chloro-5-(imidazoline-2-il-amino)-6-methoxy-2-methylpyrimidine in an oral or implant non-immediate release formulation and non-immediate release formulations.
