PURPOSE: A method of winding up progressive yarn is provided to wind up the continuously progressing yarn to a package. CONSTITUTION: A take-up device is formed by:a wind-up spindle(14) supported on a spindle turret(11) by a bearing(30) and driven by a wind-up spindle driving device(27) able to be a synchronous or an asynchronous motor; the wind-up spindle driving device installed on the spindle turret, making a straight line with the spindle and accepting three-phases alternating currents of frequency able to be controlled by a frequency converter(21); and the frequency converter controlled by a controller(34) worked by a revolution speed sensor(35).
