MODEM WITH IP SUPPORT

PURPOSE: Disclosed is a modem which can access to a PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) or an ISDN (Integrated Service Digital Network) from a subscriber terminal. CONSTITUTION: The modem (4) having an IP (Internet Protocol) support comprises an access means for autonomous, simultaneous access to the services of a switched telephony network (3) and to the services of an IP based network (9). The autonomous, simultaneous access is established over a dialled up connection (15) and is provided using the IP protocol.
