The fixing assembly for the wiper arm (1) onto a drive shaft (2) uses a coupling where the drive shaft is sleeved inside the body of the wiper arm. A fastener (3,4) is provided to retain it in position. A disengaging assembly (6A,6B) co-operates with the fastener to disengage the wiper arm from the drive shaft. The disengaging assembly is operated manually.
