CATALYTIC LAYER OF AN POLYMER ELECTROLYTE FUEL BATTERY

PURPOSE: A catalytic layer for a polymer electrolyte fuel battery is provided to have an excellent electric catalytic activation while fabricating simply and cheaply using a new ink. CONSTITUTION: The catalytic layer is coated by an ink. The ink comprises one or more organic noble metal chelate compounds of an ionomer solvent and a dispersion solvent of a carbon grain. The ionomer solvent is heat-analyzed so as to form a corpuscle while a chelate compound is dried. The noble metal of the chelate compound exists at an oxidation number 0. The catalytic layer is acquired by drying the coated film under a temperature where the ionomer or a substrate material is heat-damaged.
