PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to have the function to light a lighting of a display device only at the needed timing by lighting a LED at opening a door, at stopping a compressor, or at detecting a control abnormality by a controller. CONSTITUTION: The refrigerator has:a refrigerating room(14), a vegetable room(16), a converting room(18) to be converted the temperature inside the refrigerator, and a freezing room(20) installed in a cabinet(12) of the refrigerator; an ice manufacturing room(22) installed in the left side of the converting room(18); doors(14a, 16a, 18a, 20a, 22a) installed in front of each room; a control panel(28) installed in the lower middle of the door(14a) of the refrigerating room; a LCD(24) installed in the middle of the control panel(28); an establishing switch(26) to establish the temperature of the refrigerating room(14), the converting room(18), and the freezing room(20) around the LCD(24).
