Double metal cyanide catalyst

A double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst (I) contains (A) a double metal cyanide compound (B) at least one organic complex ligand that is different to (C) and (C) a functionalised polymer and is substantially crystalline. Independent claims are included for: (i) a process for the production of (I) by reaction of (A), (B) and (C) in aqueous solution followed by the isolation, washing and drying of the resulting (I); (ii) a process for the production of polyetherpolyols by polyaddition of alkylene oxides to active hydrogen atom containing initiator compounds, in the presence of (I); and (iii) the resulting polyetherpolyol.
