A rectangular box for e.g. storage and distribution is assembled from a folded pre-cut blank and has a base, four sidewalls with carry handles (31) at two ends. The box contents are secured within the box by a secondary frame consisting of two long sides (25) linked by cross-pieces (11). The internal sides (25) and crosspieces (11) are linked by cross-halving joints. The crosspieces also have tabs (18) which interlock with matching apertures (20) in the box sidewalls, and holding recesses (30) for the load. The box is made preferably of flat plastics hollow-chambered panel material.
