TUBE FOR LINING PIPES AND CHANNELS, AND A METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF

The invention relates to a tube (1) for lining pipes (2) and channels and to a method and device for the production thereof. The tube is comprised of a coated woven fabric (3) made of highly elastic warp threads (4) and of weft threads (5) having a lower degree of elasticity. The aim of the invention is to use the inventive tube (1) for lining sharp curves (29) or angles of pipes (2) without the occurrence of creases and in an all-over manner. To this end, the highly elastic warp threads (4) are stabilized on straight pipe sections (2) by a cover yarn and, as a result, exhibit a limited degree of longitudinal stretching in this area so that the tube (1) can be placed in the pipe (2) in a manner which adheres to quality. In curved pipe sections (29), the high degree of elasticity of the base warp thread (4) is activated by an increase in force occurring when these sections are passed through. The high degree of elasticity is activated by nullifying the forces of the cover yarn so that the tube (1) rests in these areas on the inner wall of the pipe in an all-over manner and without the occurrence of creases. A novel coating technique makes it possible to produce the coating (6) of the highly elastic thread.
