The invention relates to a supporting device (2) for mounting components (3) on a printed circuit board (1). It has a plurality of elongate supporting elements (4), which are arranged transversely of the plane of the printed circuit board to support the printed circuit board (1) during mounting of the components (3). The supporting elements (4) are adapted to be movable and yieldingly displaceable towards the printed circuit board (1) to form a lockable fixture for supporting the printed circuit board.
