<p>A coated glass article which may be heat strengthened with reduced variability in sheet resistance is disclosed. A multi-layer coating is formed on a glass substrate including a base layer of a substantially undoped metal oxide applied over the substrate, and an electrically conductive layer of a doped metal oxide applied directly on the base layer.
