The fuller (1) has a cylindrical body with sealed end faces and loading and emptying apertures (4,5) in the side walls. A series of between 2 to 6 blades (3,3') on the inside of the body are positioned so that diametrically opposed blades are parallel to one another and perpendicular to the other pairs of blades, which are also parallel to one another. The blades are positioned so that they correspond to the corners of an imaginary polygon which is concentric relative to the fuller and which determines that two of the blades situated at two diametrically opposed points are parallel with one another. At the same time the blades are also perpendicular to the other two blades which are situated in alignment with the two points that are similarly arranged in a diametrically opposed manner, with the blades of the second pair also being parallel to one another.
