Components are allocated to different types of pipettes according to an inverse greedy process or according to a sequence of flow processes or a linear program, whereby an optimum solution is provided when all possible allocations display a specific property (consecutive ones) for a predeterminable number of cycles during the assembly of a printed board involving an automatic placement machine.
