A single unit-type air conditioner (1) free from any outdoor unit is disclosed. The air conditioner, having a single unit or the indoor unit, effectively cools refrigerant using water and air, reduces the manufacturing and management cost, and is easily and movably installed. The elements, such as an evaporator (2), a compressor, and a condenser (5), of the air conditioner are completely encased by the single unit or the indoor unit. A water spraying panel (20) sprays pressurized water onto the condenser, thus cooling refrigerant. The pressurized water is supplied from a water tank (30) set in the indoor unit. A condensing case (10), encasing the condenser, has air inlet slits (11) on its side walls and an air exhaust fan on its top wall, thus allowing air to forcibly pass through while cooling the refrigerant.
