The invention relates to a method for producing a stabilized aqueous alkali metal-2-hydroxy-4,6-dichloro-s-triazine (AHDT) solution in which a solution is provided at a temperature ranging from 5 to 40 DEG C. Said solution contains either the respective alkali hydrogencarbonate, acetone, or a mixture thereof. According to the method, cyanuric chloride and a lye are then charged in a parallel manner while being cooled such that a method temperature of 25 DEG C is not exceeded and a pH-value of 5.5 is not fallen short of. During an agitation time ranging from 2 to 30 hours, either slightest amounts of alkali lauryl sulfate are added in the event a solution containing hydrogencarbonate had initially been provided, or slightest amounts of alkali hydrogencarbonate are added in the event acetone had exclusively been used in the first method step. In addition, an alkali borate and/or a dialkali hydrogen phosphate and/or potassium hexacyanoferrate (II) are/is subsequently added as a buffer. The pH-value, said value being >/=7.0 during the entire method, can optionally be adjusted to a value ranging from 8.0 to 9.5 with the aid of an acid. The invention also provides that the alkali metal used in each case is the same in all method steps. By using this relatively simple method during very short reaction times, AHDT solutions which are stabilized over a long period of time and which do not release CO2 at any time during synthesis, storage and utilization are obtained with the aid of the co-stabilizer alkali hydrogencarbonate. |
