BATTERY PACK

A thin lightweight battery pack for power supply of a portable electronic device. A battery pack (1) comprises a battery (3) and a battery protection device (8) between an upper case (2a) and a lower case (2b) that form a case (2). The battery (3) is packed in an enclosure (11) with positive and negative laminate plates, and thus the battery pack (1) is thin and lightweight. The lower case (2b) includes a thin elastic side (15), which is opposed to the battery (3). If the battery expands and increases its thickness, the elastic side (15) keeps flat, rather than causing the battery pack (1) to bulge. Therefore, the device using the battery will not be adversely affected.
