<p>Stable cosmetic compositions containing high levels of ascorbic acid, relatively low levels of water, varying levels of polyhydric alcohol, and organic carbonate are disclosed. The compositions may also include monohydric alcohol or hydroxyalkyl cellulose or both. The compositions are homogeneous solutions, and can be adapted to be topically applied to the skin to impart appearance benefits thereto.</p> |
