PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording method improving an overwrite characteristic and improving jitters in the case of relying on CAV(constant angular velocity) control or zone CAV control so that the pulse width of a rear part heating pulse in a multi-pulse line is hourly made constant without relying on a recording linear velocity of a recording medium. SOLUTION: Figure (a) shows a pulse waveform in a multi-pulse line at the time of an innermost periphery/a minimum linear velocity, (b) shows the same at the time of a central linear velocity and (c) shows the same at the time of an outermost periphery/a maximum linear velocity. At this time, even in the any cases, the pulse width of a top heating pulse A is made always to a fixed ratio, e.g. 0.75T for a channel clock period T to be set in the fixed ratio and overwrite characteristic and jitters can satisfactorily be kept over the whole recording medium area. |
