PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new nucleic acid encoding a peptide which includes an antigenic polypeptide of a protein allergen against Dermatophagoides and has a specific amino acid sequence, and useful for producing antigens helpful for therapy and diagnosis of house dust mite allergy, or the like. SOLUTION: This new nucleic acid is a newly isolated one encoding a peptide including an antigenic polypeptide of a protein allergen against Dermatophagoides and having a amino acid sequence of formula I or II, and is useful for producing antigens helpful for desensitization therapy for house dust mite allergy, and for diagnostic test relating to the detection of the allergy, or the like. The nucleic acid is obtained by isolating polyadenylated mRNA from the mite (Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus), by synthesizing cDNA using it, by constructing a transformant library in a usual way and by screening it with a rabbit anti-mite antiserum through plaque radioimmunoassay to select bacteriophage producing plaque reactive with the antiserum. |
