摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and largely supply metallic ions in a short time and to enable high speed plating by continuously subjecting a long size strip-shaped metallic sheet to electroplating with an insoluble anode, melting plating metal by the contact with substance having catalystic action and feeding it into the plating soln. SOLUTION: A metallic sheet 40 is continuously passed through a plating tank 10 stored with a nickel plating soln. via a sink roll 50, electric current is flowed to the space between it and an anode plate 2, and nickel plating is applied thereon. The plating soln. is drawn out from an anode chamber 11 between the anode plate 2 and a membrane 1 and is introduced into a melting tank 3. In this place, the plating soln. is heated at about 70 to 100 deg.C by a heater 33 while being stirred by a stirrer 32, and nickel fine powder is fed from a hopper 31, is brought into contact with a catalystic carrier 30 such as Pt, Pd or the like and is dissolved. In this way, as to the plating soln. supplied with nickel ions consumed by the plating, pH is controlled by a hydrogen ion concn. detecting means 4, and, after that, it is passed through a soln. storage tank 5 and a filtering means 6 and is returned to the plating tank 10.
