PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate generation of a gap between a connecting plate and a ferrule by providing a slope on both outsides at the tip of the ferrule, avoiding interference between a weld bead on both right and left sides of the connecting plate and the ferrule, and performing arc stud welding of the stud member to the center planar of the connecting plate. SOLUTION: This a method of welding a stud member 30 to the central planar part 22 of a narrow connecting plate 20 of which on both right and left sides, a weld bead 21 for connecting with an object 10 is formed; a slope 42, which is bilaterally symmetrical around the center, is provided on both outsides at the tip 41 of a ferrule 40 that shapes molten metal by being mounted on the tip 31 of the stud member 30; and, while interference is avoided between the weld bead 21 on both right and left sides and the ferrule 40, the stud member 30 is joined to the center planar part 22 of the connecting plate 20 by arc stud welding.
