PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the material cost of a filter frame body and simplify the assembly process to reduce the cost by a method wherein a filter unit mount part to which a filter unit is mounted is provided and the filter unit is formed by putting a filter in a frame body made of paper. SOLUTION: A fan case 10 is provided in an air purifier body 1, and a filter unit mount part 31 for mounting a filter unit 30 is formed on the windward side of the case 10. In this case, the filter unit 30 is formed by putting a deodorizing filter 34, wherein activated carbons 33 are spread all over an air-permeable base material 32, and an electrostatic filter 35, which is folded transversely in a zigzag manner to increase a dust collecting area, into a frame body 36 made of paper. Thus, the filter unit 30, which can remove both dust and smell, can be formed into a unit by a simple process using inexpensive materials. A coarse dust filter 44 is bonded to an aperture on the windward side of the frame body 36 beforehand.
