PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry cell holder of a two-series packed type, capable of preventing defective contact of and damage to a contact for enabling good conduction and preventing troubles, when dry batteries are erroneously packed. SOLUTION: A positive electrode part 14 consists of a moving plate 22 which is movable vertically along a slit 21, a coil spring 23 for energizing the moving plate 22 toward a positive electrode 16a of a first dry cell 10a and a lead wire 24. The lower face of the moving plate 22 is provided with a ring insulator 25, in which a hole 25a is formed at the center where a protruded portion 16b defining the positive electrode 16a of the dry cell 10a enters. At the bottom of the hole 25a, a positive electrode contact piece 26 is formed for contacting the positive electrode 16a. When the dry cell 10a is charged properly in a first cell chamber, the protruded portion 16b defining the positive electrode 16a of the dry cell 10a enters into the hole 25a in the insulator 25 and contacts the positive electrode contact piece 26 at the bottom of the hole 25a, and then the positive electrode 16a of the dry cell 10a is connected to a circuit via the lead wire 24.
