PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To naturally operate a camera device that is installed with a tilt with respect to the world coordinate system taking a perpendicular direction as a reference and controlled remotely without being conscious of the tilt and to display its video without a sense of incongruity. SOLUTION: An image pickup element of this camera device 101 has a tilt with respect to a horizontal line in the world coordinate in the case of operating the camera device 101. A camera attitude correction section 104 calculates the tilt and gives tilt data of an image to a video display section 105. Since the video display section 105 corrects a tilt in video indication so as to be set horizontal to the world coordinate system based on the tilt data of the image, the operator feels as if the camera system 101 were installed with the world coordinate system as the reference.
