PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a motor-driven opening/closing device for a hinged door to save the power consumed and to operate, both manually and electrically, a latching/unlatching device for a latch bolt manually operated to close the hinged door. SOLUTION: The opening/closing drive fulcrum shaft 2 of a towing runner made to run by a drive motor 11 within a guide rail 5 horizontally mounted on the side face of the upper part of a hinged door 6 and a fixed fulcrum shaft 9 secured to a hinged door head 7 are connected together by an opening/closing arm 12 having bearings 10 installed at each end. By moving the towing runner, the hinged door is opened and closed. A permanent magnet is installed at the end of the latch bolt 14 of the handle 13 of the hinged door 6 and an electromagnet 27 comprising an iron core and a coil is installed behind a strike installed on a hinged door jamb 8 which the permanent magnet faces. A latch bolt anti- ejection device comprising a plate spring and a stepped stopper part is installed at a latch bolt actuating part. |
