PURPOSE:To obtain a device in a small size and of high reliability by integrating the optical system necessary as an optical head into a freely rotatable drum so that the movement of the optical spot located on an optical disk caused with the wavelength dispersion of a beam shaping prism becomes in the tangential line of a track at the outer peripheral part. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser 103 and beam shaping prism are integrated into a freely rotatable drum 5 so that the angle to a track of the projection image of the joining face of the semiconductor laser 103 becomes larger at the inner peripheral part of the recording zone and the angle to the track becomes smaller at the outer peripheral part of the recording zone. By doing so the movement of the optical spot located on an optical disk 100 caused by the wavelength dispersion of the beam shaping prism becomes in the tangential direction at the outer peripheral part and the time base jitter can be reduced. An optical information recording/reproducing device in a small size with a high reliability can thus be obtd. |
