<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-boring propulsion method for burying a fluid- transporting pipeline for use in city water, gas, sewage, etc., and a quake- resistant propulsion pipe joint suited for use therein. SOLUTION: In a pipe propulsion method, a rubber ring 18 for sealing a gap between the inner peripheral surface of a faucet 3 and the outer peripheral surface of a spigot 2 is provided as a pipe joint 1 therebetween, and a lock ring 17 on the inner peripheral surface of the faucet 3 and a spigot projection 5 engaging the lock ring 17 are provided so that when a large extracting force works on the joint 1 in an earthquake or the like, extraction of the spigot 2 from the faucet 3 is prevented. Further, a thrust-transmitting collar 25 that can be crushed after propulsion is finished is interposed between a flange 7 provided on the outer peripheral part of the spigot 2 and the end of the faucet 3 to secure a sufficient amount of expansion and contraction of the joint even after the propulsion.</p> |
