PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket and a cover with a gasket to be hardly influenced even by dispersion of work during assembly, excellent in physical properties, and capable of maintaining reliable sealing performance. SOLUTION: In a gasket 3 arranged on a joint surface between a box-form body 2 and a cover body 1 and integrally sealing up the cover body 1 and the body 2, the gasket 3 has a mounting part 4 inserted through the mounting hole 5 of the cover body 1. Since, at the mounting part 4 of the gasket 3, the cover body 1 can be mounted on the body 2 by a fixing tool, such as a mounting screw and a mounting bolt 7, sealing performance between the periphery of the fixing tool 7 at the mounting part 4 and the cover body 1 and between the gasket 3 and the body 2 is improved by the fastening force of the fixing tool 7.
