PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital data broadcast reception device receiving multimedia data transmitted with program data from a broadcasting station and effectively displaying it. SOLUTION: A tuner 101 receives broadcast data from a broadcasting station and transmits RDI(receiver data interface) data containing multimedia data to a data decoder 102. The data decoder 102 decodes data into MOT(multimedia object transfer protocol) data in accordance with a prescribed protocol, A file manager 103 discriminates a file with an ID generated in a file system from a trigger time described in a MOT header and generates a timer monitor table. A file system 104 stores the file in a storage part 105 and generates a directory information table where the display possible state of the file and the file names of the files whose display orders are equal are recorded for the respective files. A data browser 108 receives the display instruction by a user and sequentially displays multimedia data permitted to display on the directory information table.
