PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil returning mechanism for a scroll compressor, capable of reducing costs. SOLUTION: This oil returning mechanism is adapted to return lubricating oil after lubricating a scroll compressor from an oil return hole 53 formed in a frame 38 through the stator 51a of a motor to the lower part of a hermetically sealed shell. In this case, the oil returning mechanism is provided with an oil return pipe 52, one end thereof being fitted in the oil return hole 53 of the frame 38, and an enlarged outer diameter portion 52a being formed as a fall preventing means in the other end thereof to be abutted on the upper end surface of the stator 51a of the motor to prevent falling.
