摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stable output reproducibility when a humor sample such as a sample including high concentration urea compound, particularly, by providing an electrode protection layer principally consisting of a urea compound and covering a part of an electrode. SOLUTION: An oxygen electrode for a biosensor measuring glucose and the like in urine is provided with an electrode 2 functioning an active electrode on an insulated base board 1, for example. The upper face of the electrode 2 is covered by means of an electrode protection layer 5 mainly consisting of a urea compound such as urea or thiourea. A binding layer 3 principally consisting of γ-aminopropyltriethoxy silane is formed on the electrode protective layer 5, the electrode 2 and the insulated base board 1, and on the binding layer 3, an immobilized enzyme layer 4 using an organic polymer as a base material is formed. The electrode protection layer 5 is formed by immersing a base board 1, in which the electrode 2 is formed, into a solution including 0.1-2 mM of sodium chloride and electrically energizing it. In this way, adhesion of a contaminant onto an electrode and influence of an interfering material can be restricted.
