PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device for keeping a stable sitting position at a forward inclined posture in a state of sitting on a bed for a patient who cannot sit. SOLUTION: This auxiliary device, which is used by assembling to a side of a bed, has a chest support plate 3 for supporting a body trunk of a patient sitting on the side of the bed at a forward inclined posture, an upper board 2 for supporting both patient's arms bent at both elbow joints at the forward inclined posture, and a support section 1a for keeping a sitting position in a fixed position by putting between the legs at a lower of the chest support plate 3. The chest support plate 3 is fixed cut into a center section of the upper board 2 toward to the patient at a state that an upper section of the chest support plate 3 is protruded.
