PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of emission characteristic due to damages and breakages of an electron emission layer of an oxide cathode by a spark discharge, and the deterioration of withstand voltage characteristic caused by a scattered oxide. SOLUTION: In an aging device for a cathode-ray tube, conductive contact of a feeder rail 30 for feeding voltage to a first grid and a feeder terminal 31 is set faster than at least the conductive contact of a feeder rail for feeding voltage to a second grid and the feeder terminal, and a release from the conductive contact of the feeder rail for feeding voltage to the first grid, and the feeder terminal is set slower than the conductive contact of the feeder rail for feeding voltage to the second grid and the feeder terminal.
